P&O London Office 1919

The following documents have been provided by Ken Campbell. Ken joined the P&O Repairs & Stores Section, Leadenhall Street, in 1961. In 1971 the office relocated to Southampton by which time Ken had become the Assistant Supplies Manager. In 1973 Ken was promoted to Supplies Manager. Kens responsibilities were the purchase of Deck, Engine Stores and Spares plus Pursers Stores and delivery to the vessels by land, sea or air. In 1986 due ill health Ken was forced to retire. Kens father also worked for P&O, a former Commodore Chief Engineer.
